Primary thallus squamulose; squamules thick, densely pressed together and imbricate, linear with depauperate lobes, olive-green to brown above, pale below. Apothecia to 2 mm wide, terminal or subterminal on short podetia, convex, shining, brownish black. Ascospores oblong-ovoid, 11–12 × 5–7 µm. CHEMISTRY: thallus and medulla K-, KC-, P-. Melacarpic acid present. | ||
Known only from the type locality in Vic. and Pigeon House Ra., N.S.W., growing on rock and on a clay bank. | ||
